MamaCare offers an in-home health service that is designed to support the health of women during the fourth trimester; as they adapt physically, mentally and emotionally to their new role as a mother. The intention of this service is to create a continuum of care during what is often a time of great upheaval. This ensures that each new mother receives the support she needs to take care of herself, her baby and her family.
We also run a free community baby clinic every Tuesday morning in Pyrmont. This service is open to all Mums, Dads and carers in the area who would benefit from qualified support and advice.
MamaCare’s in-home services includes regular checkups, a support email and phone line, resource pack, tailored nutritional advice, appropriate herbal prescription, and referral options when additional support is required.
MamaCare consultations, advice, prescriptions and referrals are delivered by Kathleen, an experienced naturopath, acupuncturist and fellow mother. The programs have been formulated using an evidence based approach, incorporating clinical experience alongside traditional postpartum practices.
There are three postpartum packages available, all of which can be tailored to your needs. However, the essential element of each is consistent support and care.
See the summary table below, or links to package overviews at bottom of page for more detailed information.
Though recommended, you are not required to commit to a program in order to access MamaCare’s support. Kathleen is also available for in-home appointments as needed, both before and after birth.
Gift certificates are also available. In-home healthcare, physical and emotional support is a priceless gift for any new mother. You can purchase one of MamaCare’s packages for an expectant friend, family member or colleague.
